Create, edit, and manage all checklist task statuses
Jira admin permission required
In order to access this setting, you must have at least the administer Jira permission from within Jira. You can also access this setting with site or organization admin permission.
Location of setting
Navigate to the Jira admin Apps settings and look for the “Task Status” button under the “Didit - Checklists” section.
Toggle on and off
At the top of the page, you can toggle the setting on and off. When you toggle the setting on, all statuses listed on this page become available for all checklist tasks. If there are tasks skipped, they get the “skipped” status and if there are tasks completed they get the “complete” status. When you toggle off, the checklist task statuses are no longer available.
Default task statuses (not editable)
The default task statuses will be available when you toggle the task status on.

Custom task statuses
You can add custom statuses which will be available in all your checklists. Since Didit tasks only have three different “statuses” for the progress bar and audit purposes, you will be asked to map each custom status name to a Didit “status” (in the “Mapped status” column). You can also choose from six different colors:
- Grey
- Blue
- Yellow
- Purple
- Red
- Green
If you delete a custom status that is selected and used in a checklist, the checklist will retain that status selection, but the custom status will no longer be available for selection moving forward.
If you add a duplicate of another custom status or a default status, that option will show twice in your task status list, potentially causing confusion to users.
Implications on existing checklists when toggled on/off
You can turn checklist task statuses on and off at any time. It’s important to understand what will happen if you decide to do so.
Completed tasks
If you turn task statuses off, tasks completed will remain completed, though they will lose their status in appearance. If you turn the toggle back on, they will regain their selected status.
Skipped tasks
If you turn task statuses off, tasks skipped will remain skipped, though they will lose their status in appearance. If you turn the toggle back on, they will regain their selected status.
Open tasks
If you turn task statuses off, tasks open will remain open, though they will lose their status in appearance. If you turn the toggle back on, they will regain their selected status.
